Hi, I’m Kimberly! I am a graduating senior at San José State University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Professional and Technical Writing. My areas of interest for history are 20th century American and European history.
I am the Vice President of SJSU Phi Alpha Theta, Beta Lambda Chapter and a member of TYPO (The Young Professional/Technical Writing Offensive) Club. I enjoy volunteering as a tour guide at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, an adult literacy/education tutor with SJPL Partners in Reading, and a preschool helper in my local church.
I hope to serve the community soon through a full-time position as an editor or a museum worker, and then eventually return to school to obtain an MLIS degree for a career in collections and archives.
In my spare time, I love watching Lord of the Rings, learning new information, seeing the Sacramento Kings play good defense, and being a blanket-burrito on cold days.

A half history or a sanitized history serves no one – it’s a corruption. History shouldn’t be comfortable and it shouldn’t be safe. It should always challenge you and should always be challenged.
Fern Riddell, BBC History Magazine, May 2018
Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lots of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
Robert F. Kennedy, South Africa, 1966
“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
